YCGL - Minnesota - Day 4 - Wednesday, April 20 - 229 miles

Today was just a travel day, getting from Avoca and driving to Cedar Rapids, IA.  I was checking the map along the way and saw that I was just missing the Amana colonies.  So a quick reroute and I ended up going through Grinnell, IA, passed Grinnell College, and then hitting South Amana, West Amana, Middle Amana and Amana (but missed East Amana).  It was dusk and misty and I didn't have time to stop anywhere, but a big surprise was a huge Westinghouse factory in Middle Amana.  Who Knew?

(OK, I actually had a date that night, with a cute young thing called WalMart.  I needed to pick up some supplies and a little more food.  [And Cheetos, wait, that is food.  It fits two of the four American Food Groups, Salt, Sugar, Fat and Chocolate.  Hey, maybe it hits three out of four!  Dang  near a health food.]).

And that's all I have to say about that....

  1. Yum! Those Cheetos go great with chocolate to round out that 4th food group!
